• · Maintains and develops the Union’s long-term strategy
• · Main point of contact to National Union of Students and delegate leader to NUS Conference
• · Spokesperson for communications to all external bodies.
• · Responsible for campaigns relevant to whole student body
• · Chair of Executive, ensuring Union policy is implemented
• · Line manager of the General Manager of UWSU
• · Main path for information from outside sources
• · Main political contact before specific Sabb or staff takes responsibility
• · Officer with political responsibility for staffing matters
• · Maintains the policy file and has final interpretation of the Constitution, Appendices, Regulations, and policies.
• Maintains awareness of the activities of all Union officers.
