What is 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence?
16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence is an international call to end violence as a result of a person's gender. It runs from 25th November (the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women) until 10th December (Human Rights Day.) The UN Women campaign is specifically aimed at ending violence against women and girls. Here at Warwick Students' Union, we recognise that trans and non-binary people may also experience gender-based violence and are disproportionately affected by this (TGEU.org 2023)
