Saturday 02 November 2024, 12.00AM - Saturday 02 November 2024, 11.59PM

Unknown!

Drop off location: unknown.

Race back to campus, fundraise for charity and complete challenges to win prizes!

Do you have what it takes?

The Event:

You and 150 Students get transported in 3 blacked out coaches: all from The University of Warwick to the same mystery city up to 200 miles away. You then must race those 150 students back to campus in 24hrs without spending any money. Do you have what it takes?

You can get back to campus taking advantage of a mix of free: trains, buses, coaches, accommodation, food and hitchhiking. How? You would be surprised what confidence and charisma can get you!

LOST 2024 is a team-based adventure – we recommend teams of 2-4 (if you have more, we allow this). If you have upwards of 5 people, why not race your friends back to campus on a separate team, who can make it back first?

We ensure that safety is our number one priority. We ask you to download a location tracking app, where a team of 6 at campus will monitor yours and the progress of all 150 participants from the drop off location back to campus. We will make regular calls throughout the day to ensure you are safely progressing back. For the whole event, the team at campus will be accessible via your phone for the full 24hrs – providing advice and guidance when needed.

LOST 2024 is perfectly timed, a single event, taking place Saturday Week 5 of Term 1 before reading week, if you make it back in 24 hours, you will get back mid-day Sunday, with ample time to sleep so you can be ready for lectures Monday morning. Locations in previous years have included Southampton (2023) and Liverpool (2022).

LOST 2024 is Warwick RAG’s Flagship event of the year, and one of Warwick Universities single biggest fundraising events of the year. This year it is in support of Samaritans Coventry. Tickets cost up to £24, in addition to this we ask you to fundraise a minimum of £50 for Samaritans Coventry via a JustGiving page – we will help you with this. And that’s it, we organise the event, facilitating your adventure, and the rest is up to you. What will your adventure look like?

Picture this:

You arrive on campus early Saturday morning, the sun rising to your side, a gentle breeze rustling through the trees. You enter the SU atrium a hive of activity – 150 eager participants buzzing with excitement – anticipant of the adventure to come. You make your way alongside your friends, both new and old, to board a nearby fleet of coaches. You sit down in your seat, the curtains of the coach windows drawn – you begin your journey to the mystery city.

A few hours later… the coaches begin to slow arriving at their destination. You step off, the bright midday sunshine hits your face, you look upon your unfamiliar surroundings and begin to orientate yourself. Your anticipation has finally been met – it is from here you must begin your journey home. Your teams strategy beginning to come into action, from here – the race begins, your journey, your choices – what will your adventure back hold?
