Come see Halloween (1977) presented with stunning 4K laser projection on the big screen in L3!
On Halloween night, 1963, a 6-year-old Michael Myers murders his older sister with a kitchen knife. 15 years later, on October 30th, we see him being taken from the sanitorium by psychiatrist Dr. Loomis to attend a court hearing. It is on this unfortunate day which Michael escapes incarceration, making his way back to his childhood suburban town of Haddonfield, marking ‘the night he came home’. We see Jamie Lee Curtis make her acting debut as Laurie Strode, a teenage babysitter targeted and stalked by Michael Myers in this classic holiday horror. Released in 1978, Halloween is an oldie but a goodie, which saw the beginning of a long franchise and birthed the iconic Michael Myers look- A (fugly) Captain Kirk mask painted white and blue mechanic overalls. Halloween is definitely one of the prime era slasher movies and certainly worth a watch during spooky season. I must mention though, be prepared to get extremely frustrated by the little haste Michael has when chasing his victims. [Holly Beaumont]
