Mental Health Awareness Week Mental Health Awareness Week. 10-16 May 2021. Nature. #Connectwithnature #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek

This week is Mental Health Awareness Week, and there is a national campaign by the Mental Health Foundation happening around the theme of nature.

You can get involved in the national campaign by:

  • Experiencing nature: Take time to recognise and grow your connection with nature during the week. Take a moment to notice and celebrate nature in your daily life.
  • Sharing nature: Take a photo, video or sound recording and share the connections you’ve made during the week, to inspire others. Join the discussion on how you’re connecting with nature by using the hashtags #ConnectWithNature #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek
  • Talking about nature: Use MHAW tips, research and policy guides to discuss with your family, workplace and community how you can help encourage people to find new ways to connect with nature in your local environment.

Find out more and get involved with the campaign here

You can also view the University's Mental Health Awareness Week page, which includes information on how Warwick's research is influencing national mental health policies, developing workplace mental health initiatives and helping to improve lives.

There are some excellent resources available at Mind and the NHS too.

If you need further support, please consider contacting the SU Advice Centre or calling University Wellbeing Support Services on 024 7657 5570.
