On Tuesday 15th March 2022, we celebrated the launch of Rate Your Landlord at the University of Warwick!

In collaboration with the University of Warwick and Unipol Student Homes, Warwick SU is proud to present this fantastic new platform, which allows students to leave feedback about their renting experiences and helps them to make informed decisions about their next accommodation.

Following a short trial period, in which over 600 students left reviews about their past and current landlords, the full Rate Your Landlord website has now launched at Warwick. Students can rate their landlords against 8 statements, therefore allowing fellow students to identify landlords that give tenants a really positive renting experience.

To celebrate the launch, we held the first Rate Your Landlord Awards at Scarman House, hosted by our Welfare and Campaigns Officer, Charlton Sayer. The evening brought together the top rated landlords across Coventry and Warwick District, who had been nominated by students through their ratings on the platform.

Also in attendance were Councillor Mattie Heaven (Coventry City Council) and Councillor Andrew Day (Warwick District Council), who presented the awards for Best Landlord in Coventry and Best Landlord in Warwick District. Our own SU Officers, Charlton Sayer, Jacob Jefferson and Chih-Hsiang Lo, presented the runners-up and winners for the Best Managing Agent and Best PBSA Provider awards.
