Warwick Professional LGBTQUA+ and Allies Network is the University of Warwick's first society dedicated to preparing and empowering the next generation of LGBTQUA+ students as they enter the world of work.
In their first year as an SU society, Warwick PLAN have achieved:
- Over 100 members in their first month
- Nearly £5,000 in sponsorship
- Multiple industry events with sector-leading companies
- Bringing the first ever LGBTQUA+ Conference to Warwick
A message from Warwick PLAN:
"Over the last year, PLAN has gone from strength to strength, growing into a community in which every individual can feel supported and given the space to grow into the phenomenal individual they are destined to become. We continue to tackle the inherent lack of confidence and anxiety that comes with being LGBTQUA+.
We want to win this award for every queer person who has made to feel unsafe or unwelcome, for every LGBTQUA+ student who has looked in the mirror and saw themselves as less worthy because of their sexuality or gender identity. We want to take the next step towards smashing down barriers, and you can help us achieve that dream."
