Warwick Student Cinema

Who Are We?

The Warwick Student Cinema Society is Warwick's very own student-run, non-profit, fully licenced independent cinema located in the newly-renovated L3 lecture theatre.

We show all the best films from the latest Hollywood blockbusters, to the most critically acclaimed classics. And all of this is done on either our industry-grade 4k laser projector, or our 35/70mm projector. (we're one of only 83 locations worldwide which can show 70mm!)

Make sure to check out our schedule here to see what we're playing!

Where and when to find us?

Our regular screenings take place in L3 in the Science Concourse. You'll find our tills right outside just before each showing. We normally host our screenings at:

  • Monday 7:30pm
  • Tuesday 7:30pm
  • Thursday 7:30pm
  • Friday 6:30pm and 9:30pm
  • Saturday 6:30pm and 9:30pm
  • Sunday 6:30pm

Also look out for our termly All-Nighter and Pub Quiz events! We also often host Free Outdoor Screenings in The Piazza.

How much does it cost?

Since we are a licenced cinema, we pay lots of money to film distributors so that we can show these films as early as possible in the best possible quality.

If you are a member, it only costs £3 to buy a ticket! Non-member's tickets are £4. Our membership is only £4 and comes with a free film, so it's the same price as buying a non-member's ticket -- and you get access to a load of other benefits, like discounted tickets all year, Free For Members shows, advance notice of events, voting rights, and the chance to join our crew!

How can I get involved?

Anyone is able to get involved by simply emailing us at info@warwick.film, or by talking to one of our crew at one of our screenings. We have many different teams and ways for people to get involved including:

  • Stewarding - Selling tickets and helping out audience members,
  • Projection - Working with our digital and 35/70mm projectors to put the film on our big screen,
  • Publicity or Marketing - Designing and distributing promotion material,
  • IT - Helping maintain our website and servers.

No experience is required!

We will teach you everything from scratch. And not only will it look great on your CV, you'll also enjoy the benefit of free films for you and a guest!

You can find out more information about getting involved here.
