Welcome to the Warwick Coding Society!

We are a free to join society committed to making the learning and development of programming skill accessible to all Warwick students. We run various events including talks, socials, workshops, a mentorship program and also offer free courses to all members! 

Membership Perks

For Beginners:

  • Mentorship Program: Accelerate your learning with an experienced mentor! You will have weekly catchups with your mentor where you will receive personalised guidance and a tailored learning program, apply here.
  • Online Courses: We have various free student-made language courses on our website! (Python, HTML/CSS, Java, Swift and more!)
  • Weekly Courses: We run weekly workshops that build on top of our courses and explore how you can apply your knowledge using personal projects.

For the Experienced:

  • Student Mentor: Become a mentor and help guide beginners in their learning journey. The best way to prove you really know something is to teach it, apply here.
  • Workshops: We host workshops on various topics such as securing spring weeks and internships, preparing for technical interviews and tailoring your CV just to name a few.
  • Competitions: Prove your abilities in one of our programming competitons for a chance to win prizes such as gift cards and CodeSoc merch!
  • Industry Talks: We regularly host talks by experienced developers, previous speakers have come from companies such as Bloomberg, Amazon, Goldman Sachs and Deloitte.

Apart from our standard events, we often collaborate with other societies. Some events we've previously collaborated on include finding your co-founder, an intro to web scraping for stats students, and a STEM social.

We also run various socials including Sports Sunday where we play 5-a-side, ping pong, badminton and more!
