Welcome to the Rifle Club!
Warwick University Rifle Club is a committed sports club open to anyone with an interest in shooting. Whether you can hit a V-bull from 1000 yards or have never tried shooting before, we'd love to see you out on the range! We organise range days most Saturdays as well as clay pigeon shooting sessions and occasional weekends away at the National Shooting Centre in Bisley. We also host a range of socials across the year so there is always plenty to do! Check out our socials at the bottom for more information!

General Information
We are a multidisciplinary sports club, taking part in target shooting (both smallbore and fullbore), clay pigeon shooting and also air rifle. All current students, staff and almuni are welcome to join the club, there is no prior experience necessary and you will be taught everything you need to know to shoot safely. We also run regular socials which are publicised on our social media (links at the bottom). Lastly, we organise trips to the National Shooting Centre at Bisley to take part in various weekend events and competitions shooting at distances of up to 1000 yards, so if that sounds exciting then sign up and get involved!
How to Join
Warwick Rifle Club is an off-campus sports club so you will need to purchase the Sports Federation, the off-campus pass (unless you already have an on-campus pass) and the Rifle Standard membership, all of which can be bought below. Once you are a member, you will be able to buy tickets for our range days and weekends and you will be added to our mailing list. Tickets will be sold on the SU website and they will cover all transport, ammunition and range fees for any range day.
Rifle Information
We shoot regularly at Solihull Rifle and Pistol Club where we have a range of .22 calibre rifles for use on a 25-yard indoor range. We also have air rifles which we use on a small covered outdoor range. Our clubs sessions are every Saturday from 10:30 to 4pm during term time unless otherwise stated on our socials, and each session costs around £12 which includes range fee, ammo and transport (we offer cheaper tickets if you can help with transport). The pick-up and drop-off point for shooting sessions is on campus at the Piazza near Pret a Manger. We compete for the University in the BUCS Smallbore postal league and the BUCS Fullbore events during the annual Target Rifle Imperial Meeting! If you're interested in competing against other universities then please sign up to those (the university will subsidise competition costs so this is good value for money)! We also have weekend events at the National Shooting Centre in Bisley where we shoot 7.62 calibre rifles at ranges of 300 - 1000 yards. Trips to Bisley will be advertised through our socials so keep an eye out as these are great for meeting other university rifle clubs and getting to shoot some bigger guns!
Clays Information
We will be running a clay pigeon session each week at the Wegnock shooting ground. Each session will have around 10 people who will be coached by instructors at the range. We usually alternate between 2 types of sessions, a short, more affordable 30 shot session (Sportrap) and a longer 50 shot English Sporting session. Information about prices can be found on our upcoming event page.
