They/Them
LGBTQUA+ Officers
Hi :) My name is Summer, and I will be your CO-LGBTQUA+ Officer for the next year, alongside Ariane. I will be pushing to make sure that the needs of the queer community here at Warwick are on both the SU and University's agendas, so we can tackle the issues that are important to our community.
Course:
Politics, Philosophy and Law (I have just finished a year abroad in Brussels… yes they do have the best beer)
Hometown:
Shepperton (A village no one has heard of, Thorpe Park is close-by though and I used to work there)
Fun facts about me:
I booked 3 tattoos for my first tattoo, and they were all cats. Also I’ve seen My Chemical Romance live!
My role and what I hope to achieve this year:
Our main focuses are on the wellbeing of LGBTQUA+ students at Warwick, and making sure queer students can feel safe, free, and part of a community.

LGBTQUA+ Officers
I'm Ariane, and I'm working alongside Summer to serve the LGBTQUA+ community this year. We're focusing on improving wellbeing support and access for LGBTQUA+ students, as well as ensuring that the voices of marginalised students are listened to, and their needs are addressed.

Fun facts about me:
I discovered a love for herpetology studying abroad in Brussels last year.
My role and what I hope to achieve this year:
My role is representing and advocating for the needs of LGBTQUA+ students at Warwick. Some of the things I’d like to focus on this year are:
- Pushing for the SU and University to increase the quality of welfare provisions for queer students
- Collaboration with societies and SU officers to priorities the needs of queer students from marginalised communities and ensure their feedback (and criticisms) are acted on
- Improving accessibility and knowledge of the support available to queer students
- Delivering a Pride Festival by and for queer students, showcasing queer talent and arts
