As VP Welfare & Campaigns, I am responsible for connecting to students about issues that concern them and their welfare, and advocating for those with Union and University staff. I am so excited to see what campaigns I can get involved in and how I can improve student experience on campus!

My role and what I hope to achieve this year:
As VP Welfare & Campaigns, I hope to run campaigns about things that students care about, feel a part of something bigger at Warwick and Mobilise student power for justice. This entails:
SU Processes:
- Improve SU communication with student body through revamping website and social media
- Facilitate student society collaborations and support student-led campaigns
- Ensure officer-led campaigns are embedded within the SU, including through allocating clear staff leads and embedding institutional memorie
Sustainability
- Create an internal SU Sustainable Partnerships Policy for merch provision, Freshers week collabs and other sponsorship agreements
- Promote sustainable clothing initiatives and swap shops w/ uni sustainability team / relevant societies
- Support Student Staff Solidarity Network food campaign
- Work with other FTOs to advocate for demilitarization / divestment
Cost-of-living:
- Continue #EPP, including working towards procurement of free-vend dispensers and creating a #EPP Ambassador network
- Work with Student Experience and the SU to develop further dwell spaces
Wellbeing
- Relaunch Sexual Health campaign, including providing free STI testing on campus and supporting student sex workers
- Develop comprehensive welfare training for SU clubs and societies
- Support student demands against sexual assault
- Develop Party Smart and drug awareness campaigns
