Join Astronomy Society on Feburary 8th 2025 for an exciting trip to Leicester Space Centre, courtesy of the Institiute of Physics. Society members get free entry into the galleries and a free show at the Sir Patrick Moore Planetarium - the UK's largest planetarium!
Free tickets are very limited!
Only get a ticket if you are 100% going to come.
Tickets will be released on Wednesday 22nd January at 12:00.
The details
- Meet at University Interchange bus stop at 08:45.
- 12X to Coventry Pool Meadow Bus Station (£2.90).
- X6 to Leicester St Margaret's Bus Station (£3.00).
- Walk 1.5 miles (about 30 minutes) to the Space Centre
- Arrive at about 11:00
Once at the space centre you are free to explore the site.
The centre closes at 17:00 but feel free to leave earlier, we will always have an Astronomy exec in the centre who you can stay with to travel back to University.
The last X6 from Leicester on Saturday's departs at 18:00.
The last 148 (which goes direct to Coventry but takes 2 hours) departs at 20:50.
In total expect to pay £10.80 on travel expenses.
