Registration for the Warwick ASEAN Conference 2024 is now open! 

Summary

Curious about how the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) can navigate through a constantly changing environment? Debating on the relevance of earth's changes and its impact on international cooperation? The Warwick ASEAN Conference — the UK's first and largest student-led ASEAN conference — will explore the opportunities and challenges for international cooperation from a political, social, economic and technological lens amidst change globally.

This year, our conference will be featuring 3 panels:

1. Embassy Engagement Session: Diplomatic Resilience: “Adapting for a Better Future” 
2. Speakers Panel: Progressive Paradigms: “Economy and Development surrounding ASEAN”
3. Alumni Career Panel: ASEAN UK Connect: “Alumni Perspectives”

Our panels will feature embassy representatives of the ASEAN Embassies and High Commissions in the UK, together with distinguished speakers specialised in ASEAN and global affairs, and Warwick Alumnus currently working in the UK.

Under the theme of "Earth OS: Metamorphosis", the Warwick ASEAN Conference 2024 will deepen your understanding of critical issues such as international corporation and technological advancement, being grounded in the present geopolitical uncertainty amidst a changing environment whilst demonstrating a keen foresight of the future from the Southeast Asian perspective. 

Additionally, for students keen on exploring different work opportunities in the UK after graduating, we have put together an alumni panel consisting of South-East Asian representatives who have chosen to work and live in the UK. This panel will explore the difficulties of transitioning to work life in the UK as well as shedding light on the steps needed to make this transition. The panel will also discuss the different opportunities available to students intending to make the move to a corporate setting in the UK.
