Due to several cancellations from our guest speakers, we have made the tough decision to postpone the Networking Event to a later date. We don’t just want our members to attend talks by industry professionals, but we also want to allow you to network and ask questions in a relaxed and inviting environment. This year we want to host a Board Game Networking Social Event in Warwick’s Junction Hall with help from our Esports Centre and Computer Science Department. Students can casually talk to studios big and small to find what is right for them! This event aims to provide students with the opportunity to learn more about the games industry, network with industry professionals, and gain valuable insights into the industry. We have invited a range of studios for students to talk to, including:

• Aaron O’Dea (Gameplay Programmer) Rebellion
• Jordan Hunter (Talent Acquisition Assistant) Rebellion
• Kieran Townley (Experienced Programmer) Soul Assembly
• Ciaran Price (Recruitment Manager) Soul Assemble

What we will be doing on the day?

• A short introduction at the beginning of the night to introduce all the wonderful developers!
• The majority of the night will be spent playing various board games. We encourage our guests to move around tables.
• Casual chatting during board games!
• There will be various intermissions throughout the event to give away game keys (whether this will be a raffle or prize is still to be determined)
• Any other suggestions are welcomed!
